Hyderabad, India — Ivy Spires, in partnership with the National Speech & Debate Association, is expanding speech and debate training programs across India, focusing on curriculum development, student training, and judge certification.
The initiative aims to create a unified ecosystem for debate education, addressing the need for structured learning pathways and standardised evaluation systems.
Over the past year, Ivy Spires has conducted workshops, masterclasses, and tournaments across India. With the addition of NSDA-aligned frameworks, the organisation is now working to scale these efforts into a nationwide model.
The expansion will include:
School partnerships for curriculum integration
Regional training hubs for students
Certification programs for coaches and judges
National-level tournaments with standardised formats
This development reflects increasing recognition of speech and debate as essential components of modern education, supporting skills such as critical thinking, communication, and leadership.
